Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd bags order from Aravali Power Company Pvt Ltd for 2900 crore

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has announced that Under International Competitive Bidding (ICB), the Company has won orders for the supply and installation of the Main Plant Package at the upcoming Jhajjar Super Thermal Power Project in Haryana, involving three units of 500 MW each.

Valued at over Rs 29,000 Million, the orders have been placed on the Company by Aravali Power Company Pvt Ltd (APCPL), a Joint VentureCompany of NTPC, IPGPL and HPGCL.Slated for synchronisation during the 11th Plan, these units will add 36 million units every day to the grid on commissioning, which will be shared by the power deficit states of Delhi and Haryana. Notably, power from the first unit will also be used for the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi in 2010.

Markets closed in Deep red - down by 612 points

Everything was ok until yesterday evening , every investor was happy thinking the down market is over and started investing back , then came a another bang from US , the global market are down and before opening everyone know that the sensex is going to respond back to Blobal market.
Sensex saw its second biggest fall single day . Both Sensex and Nifty were down over 4% each. selling was seen in scrips across sectors.The fall can be attributed to negative news low on subprime motgage worries from the US. Asia also ended in deep red down between 3%-4%.All the BSE sector indices closed in deep red. Realty index was the worst hit down over 6% followed by bank, capital goods, metal and oil & gas downover 4% each. The whole thing will take another picture tomorrow , if the market goes down below 14700 , margins will kick off and the market might see huge loss again tomorrow.

Bajaj Auto July total sales stood at 185,890 vehicles vs 199,821 YoY basis,
total mobike sales stood at 159,881 units vs 171,115 year ago. The exports
of Bajaj Auto in July stood at 53,718 units vs 42,476 units a year ago.

Total 2-wheeler sales stood at 162,801 units vs 173,158 while 3-wheeler
sales stood at 23,089 units vs 26,663 year ago. Bajaj Auto is going to
launch over 100cc motorcycle in September.

Maruti Udyog Ltd has announced that the Company sold 52,839 vehicles in the domestic market in July 2007 compared to 44,653 vehicles in the domestic market in July 2006.

Reliance Communications Ltd, announced that a group of leading international investors across the US, Europe and Asia, have agreed to purchase 5% of the equity share capital of its 100% owned tower company, Reliance Telecom Infrastructure Ltd ("RTIL"), at an equity value of US$ 6.75 billion (Rs 27,000 crore).So when they sell 5 percent of its tower business they will be getting 1400 crore which will value the company at 27000 crore (US$ 6.75 billion) translates to approximately Rs 135/- per Company's equity share, which is nearly 25% of the Company's current market price of Rs 565 per share.
The lot of sale was heavily subscribed mounting to 8000 crore , but the transaction will get only Cash inflow of Rs 1,400 crores (US$ 337.5 million), the benefits of which will flow to the Company and its shareholders.The Companies residual 95% stake in RTIL is valued at US$ 6.40 (Rs 26,000 crore), and the company will pursue opportunities for further unlocking of value through an RTIL so soon RTIL IPO is in the offing.
